So much for women being the fairer sex -- at least, when it comes to sports.
I'm not sure what's gotten into these girls lately, but within the last week, we've seen them engage in two highly publicized physical confrontations in the heat of battle. Maybe they've finally realized that nobody out there is watching and they had to do something -- other than showing their sports bras to celebrate big victories -- to get some attention.
Whatever it is, here's the video of the WNBA brawl between the Detroit Shock and Los Angeles Sparks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oE4s3C93Ex4.
And the pit road towel toss between Danica Patrick and some other women driver named Mika Duno: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXUd6n1Vti8.
At the rate things are going, it's only a matter of time before the Williams sisters go tag team to kick the daylights out of the next tennis opponents that beat them in doubles or instead of having the winner dive into the pond to celebrate victory at LPGA's Dinah Shore, Michelle Wie decides to push her in.

I've always thought that women get an unfair advantage in the sports world, in that women (who are inferior athletes for the most part) get paid because they put butts in seats. But then again PRO-athletes are entertainers first, ambassadors of fair competition and sport second.
Since you brought up Michelle Wie I gotta say that the media/LPGA members have dogged her a lil too much on her recent decision to accept sponsor's exemption to play in a PGA event.
Let's review... former No. 1 David Duval finished behind teenage Wie.
Everybody needs to lighten up when it comes to integrity of the game type stuff. So what if the best women in the world would rather her compete in the girls only tour- that doesn't mean Wie should follow suit.
Golf is a great sport to showcase the skills of females and show just how good they really are.
I'm sure most men disregard just how good a Wie and other LPGA members are in golf because they doen't play against the best golfers in the world. And the Red Tees at your local golf club don't help the womens' cause either.
I for one want Wie to make a cut. Not sure she has the mental game, but she's like 18, right?
Maybe it's not the best for her game (according to swing coach), maybe she'll never be able to 'earn' a PGA card, oh well I love watching her try.
and a side note, I was watching the American Gladiators last night and I swear some of the women's events are rigged. It looked like the Gladiators(except Phoenix as she can do no wrong) were letting the contestants score for ratings. Just watch Power Ball event if you want to see the dark side of this 'family' show.
This is an outrage!
I want Congress to get involved.
Personally, I'm a fan of the original Gladiators, which can still be seen from time to time in the upper channels of cable.
Sorry, Bobcat, I still think the old ones are better!
